Continuing Education Units

The Continuing Competency Bill has passed the legislature. HB 1086 was signed into law on June 4, 2009, by Governor Ritter. Rule making for the new law will take place this year, 2010. The new law, and the Continuing Competency requirement, will soon go into effect which will require certain mental health professionals, to maintain continuing professional competency in order to obtain renewal or reinstatement of a license, certificate, or listing to practice their respective profession in the State of Colorado.
